Help required to decipher marriage details from Midlothian 1919
« on: Monday 27 June 22 15:00 BST (UK) »
Hello all.
Attached is a clip from the marriage register of Thomas Davidson & Elizabeth Brunton Murray in Midlothian.
The quality of the register is pretty poor and I've tried to improve it without great success.
I'm struggling with the date & location - possibly 25th November or December 1919 at ? Hall, Gorebridge.
I'm also struggling with the usual residences of both - on Thomas's I can only make out ? ? Cottage, Hunterfield & on Elizabeths I can only get what looks like ? Terrace, Gorebridge.
As always, any suggestions would be much appreciated and I'm looking forward to your response.

James

And I think his residence is Dundas Laundry Cottage, Hunterfield.
There is a reference to it in the Edinburgh Evening News 1909

Many, many thanks guys - all questions answered!

I had Dundas Foundry Cottage down and that was the only one I came close to!

As always, much appreciated.
