All Saints - Silkstone, Barnsley
« on: Thursday 30 June 22 11:07 BST (UK) »
I believe I have a few relatives buried in All Saints - Silkstone, Barnsley

I can't seem to get hold of anyone from the church - does anyone here have access to a look up.

I have copies of the burial record - I am after either confirmation they are definately in All Saints church yard or a burial plot number.

Ellen Fretwell - buried 11 October 1843

Joseph Fretwell - I assume buried with his wife Ellen but not totally sure

Amelia Stenton - died 1 Mar 1892, buried March 1892

If Amelia Stenton was born in 1816 and died 1 March 1892 she is buried in Hoylandswaine churchyard. I gather her maiden name was Fretwell and husband William.

Ancestry have a link to find a grave where you can request a photo.

I think Joseph Fretwell was buried in Silkstone on 7 February 1855. His daughter Martha was buried in Silkstone the same year on 7 January. Martha was buried from Hoylandswaine and Joseph from Silkstone.

Hoylandswaine Church was only built in 1867 whilst Silkstone is a much older foundation.
