Address in Monkwearmouth Shore

This address is on a Petition to the Corporation of Trinity House in 1821. For Isabella Reed of the address I have posted a photo, appealing for help. Her husband was John Reed a Mariner.

Any help gratefully received. I can not find an address of a ...... Lane in Monkwearmouth Shore. Are Monkwearmouth and Monkwearmouth Shore the same?

I just can not read the address and unfortunately the first letter is cut off on the photostat copy. I don't know if it can been seen anywhere on-line but I can't find it.

Oh, wow. The scan is tiny and my eyes are getting old...  8)
Enlarging it just pixelates it.

Any chance of a better scan?

At a rough guess, could it be something like Birch Lane?

Edit: Scrub that.  ::) I have just realised that there is a "y" on the end - I thought it was part of the word below, which I now see is Monkwearmouth.

I think the words above say Petitioners Address.

There was apparently a Society Lane in Monkwearmouth, but I'm not sure I can see that in the scan...

Here is Society Lane, (between Church Street and Whitburn Street)

The only problem is that it seems to me that it was in Monkwearmouth itself rather than Shore, which was a bit further to the north (as you can see if you pan out a bit on the map)

Also, looking at the initial letter of the word in question it doesn't seem the same as the 'S' of Shore on the next line.

It does seem to end '....ty' though  :-\

I was wrong there, according to the 1861 - 1891 censuses Society Lane was in the Parish of Monkwearmouth Shore.

But I am still doubtful that the first letter of the word is 'S'  :-\
