Looking at the beginning of the word which may be Society. Then the 'S' in Sunderland below has a loop like it could be the same as 'S'ociety. The i I think has a dot on it so looks like its joined onto the stem.
There doesn't seem to be another Lane in Monkwearmouth or Monkwearmouth Shore.
