Looking for any association with the George and Tanner surname that lived on various census returns at Point Villa on the modern day Portway . The only possible ref . found is through the Egelstaff family who have an advertisement in a local paper Bristol Mercury and Daily Post of 12 March 1853 stating the need to dispose of milk from either the farm of Point Villa . Possibly the farm was in the ownership of the Egelstaff family or they rented it ? Are there photographs out there as looked on

Sneed Park is also spelled Sneyd Park- have you checked under both spellings?

Also Old Sneed Park Farm can be found at BS9 1QH.

Yes..I have been lucky enough through the years to have picked up most of the series of RW books and spent last week looking through them , but with no luck . As for the Archives , I have searched using key words / phrases in the each box . Tried SNEYD and SNEED , alongwith other pos . words but as yet nothing I believe of use..I have contacted The Sneyd Park Residents Assn who hopefully may help with something associated . The old Bristol and West sports ground is another past area where the Tanners lived ( Brickkilns ) and in some way I think it was associated with the farm (pos . through ownership ? ) . Not living there now , I do know the site has changed and the sports club long gone .
On old maps , the farm is shown up to the WW2 years and pos . lost to the new estates moving down to the River Avon .
