I've been trying to research the family of my Gt Grandmother Alice May Wright for some time but not getting very far.
Alice was born in Hucknall in 1912, to Teresa Allen and Ernest Wright. That's as much as I know really. I've tried various people with the Wright surname but not sure I'm getting anywhere.

Do you know when/where Ernest and Teresa married?

Did Alice have older siblings?

If so you may be able to find the Family 1911 Census before Alice was born.

Ok just found the Marriage Reg Sept 1912 Basford 7b 480 (FreeBMD)
Alices Birth Reg  1913

So Ernest and Theresa will be unmarried 1911 Census.

You may need the M/C to confirm their Fathers occps etc

Marriage was registry office 24 August 1912.

Have you found them in 1921?

There are WW2 Pension Records for Ernest Wright;
Parents George and Annie? as next of kin
Children Alice May born 14/12/12 and Hilda 15/8/14?

Ernest/Theresa are at separate addresses 1939

Looks to me that they separated.

Which matches 1939 I can see.

So perhaps this birth
