« on: Tuesday 05 July 22 22:01 BST (UK) »
I’m searching for information regarding Hugonis Clarke born around 1563 at Myddle and if there is a connection with a Walteris Clarke, possibly his father. Hugonis had a daughter Catherine born in Derby 1587

Hugonis had a daughter Catherine born in Derby 1587
Looks as if there was a daughter of Hugonis, named Dorothea who died 25 May 1583 in Derby.
Also a daughter Gracia buried 31 Mar 1592.

Burial 1605 Derby of Dorothea, wife of Hugonis Clarke

Burial 1605 Derby of Dorothea, wife of Hugonis Clarke
After Dorothea died, it is possible that Hugo re-married.
Marriage in Derby for Hugo Clarke to Agnes Alsopp in Derby 28 Oct 1607.

The following list of names is taken from Richard Gough's "History of Myddle", a parish in Shropshire. The history was written about the year 1700. Names from noble families have generally been excluded. Some of Richard Gough's text is not easy to follow. I have only included names where there there is a surname and first name. Reference to the quoted page will often give extra names. Some names appear in the notes field but are not listed as separate names. The same name sometimes passes through several generations. However, some entries may refer to the same person.
(I have tried to be accurate. No guarantees ! Mike Foster, 1992)

His name will be Hugh (or possibly Hugo). The form "Hugonis" which appears in some Latin records means "of Hugh", as in "Thomas filius Hugonis" ' "Thomas, son of Hugh".
