« on: Wednesday 06 July 22 20:54 BST (UK) »
So I cant read my great great grandparents names from my great grandfathers wedding certificate. Well I think I can but no matter what I put in I just cant find anything about them. If anyone has any clue i would really appreciate if anyone takes a look. Thanks

Looks to me like:

Thomas McDonald
Bottle - Blower
(deceased) and
Margaret Stewart,
formerly McDonald
?

Not too sure on the last line.

Thanks everyone. My husband thought James McDonald and it got me second guessing. I appreciate it

The groom is naming his father Thomas McDONALD, a bottle - blower, and deceased.

His mother is Margaret STEWART, not identified as deceased, so alive at the time.

Margaret was previously married to McDONALD.

Margaret started life, maiden name, as STEEL.

Look for Margaret STEEL marrying Thomas McDONALD.

Look for Margaret McDONALD, widow, marrying a Mr STEWART.

Can you list all the information on the certificate please......everything you see.

Agree as the info. should help in some way.

Knowing names/dates/places/occupations/addresses et al.

Begin with name of your g/father, where/when he died, age, occ; when/where married, age, witnesses et al...

Have you found him on any census records, what is his PoB showing as & is his age consistent?

Naming of children in order may also help.

Are we looking at a marriage between a McDonald and a Catherine Welsh?  If so when and where did this take place?

Every bit of information that you can supply will help as wivenhoe and Rosinish have stated in their replies.
