Robert Raggett Born 1816 Surrey - looking in 1871 Completed

Looking for Robert Raggett in 1871- he was born in Surrey and was a Collector for HM Customs in Colchester but was transferred to the Preston Offices in and around 1868 until at least 1874.
Any information on him in 1871 would be most helpful. His wife was Agnes (nee Carter) born c 1817 Devon.

Also looking in 1871 for his sons Theophilus- born 1855 Colchester and Henry born 1850 Colchester.
Theophilus married in Blackburn in 1879 and Henry married in Stockport area in 1874.

Ribblesdale Place still exists. It's between the River Ribble and Winckley Square. Some of my ancestors lived in adjacent streets.

This is amazing- thank you all so much! Their son Henry born 1850 must have had a big falling out with the family from what i have found- and already in 1871 he is not with them- just wondering how on earth I am going to find out what caused the rift! I have tracked him through the decades through censuses and directories etc but this last question is still eluding me! At least now you have confirmed that the rest of the family went with Robert when he was promoted from Colchester to Preston which explains now why Henry was in the area- vaguely! Henry married a Lancashire lass in 1874- her father was  a farmer I think and Henry seemed to be a travelling grocer of sorts.  The family - Robert and Agnes- later moved back to the south coast in Portsea but son Theo stayed in the Preston/Blackpool area and Henry moved around the country before returning to Preston area and then across to failsworth and Cheetham Hill in Manchester.
I have seen the Wills of the parents- no clues there.
If anyone has any other ideas- always welcome!
