Trying to decipher the street name on this marriage entry from 1863, Stoke Damerel in Devon
Could it be Mahon Place or Alahon Place or something else?

I thought it looked like Mahon but as I lived in that area for 25 years and didn't know it, I wasn't sure. Have you found it on any map, Kay? I had a couple of friends who live in Park Street.

Also spelt Mayon on some pages, and next to Mayon Cottages which are mentioned in the enumerators instructions.

Mayon Cottages is the only address that comes close
Stoke Damerel is the old name for Devonport!
