Hi
Can anybody help me ( clueless on this stuff) looking for anything on the above lady. Born Cardiff 1907 maiden name Fish (actual full name was Florance Mabel Fish at birth) really struggling to find any trace of her after 1939 register possibly she was associated with somebody with surname Ferguson.

Can you point us to the relevant 1911 & 1939 entries?

Her birth registration and baptism are both Florence Mabel Fish, so is 1911 & 1921 census

Was her husband Samuel J Borge?

Samuel John Borge b 5.8.1909 died 1987 South Glamorgan

Looks to me like Samuel remarried in 1953 Cardiff.

Was there a divorce?

There is a death of a Mabel Florence Ferguson 1970 age 62 registered Cardiff - yours?

Electoral registers 1947 she is living on Mayhill Road no spouse Swansea

Not sure if that is her. She was married to samuel borge in 1931, no divorce found anywhere. 1939 war register for west bute st suggests name change  or association with somebody called Ferguson. No idea if the death in 1970 is her.

The death in 1970 has dob as 14th july 1907, same as 1939 war register.

Findmypast has 2 1939 entries for Florence Borge. The one posted by Pauline J has Borge scored through and Ferguson entered, another has her with Samuel and no scoring out. Not come across that before.

Yes i have both 1939 registers and find it odd too. As said on the thread Samuel went onto remarry 1953 but i can find no trace of her or a divorce for that matter. The dob for the death i  1970 adds up but then why borge / Ferguson on the 1939, then borge on Swansea electrol role in 1947 and back to Ferguson by 1970. Is anybody able to see if there are any marriage between borge Ferguson?
Really appreciate any help here on this one.
