On his wife's side, I believe she did not remarry and died in 1949.
Using the 1939 free search, she appears to be in Hastings with a Hall family (not clear that they are related).

She had two younger sisters:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:Q27Q-T34D
Alice Beatrice Burch seems to have married Frederick George Allen in 1901 and they do not appear to have children with them in 1911: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWXY-3GM
Louisa Naomi Burch passed away in 1910, unmarried.

Josephine Stephen, sister of James Falconer Stephen, married in 1885 to Charles Coney (Jun Q. 1885 Mile End, 1c/172).  They had one child, Ada Josephine Coney. She appears to have been still unmarried in 1942 when she is mentioned in her father's probate (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:7XN6-VQ2M )

Isabella Stephen, sister of James F, married later in 1881 to Charles Henry Petty (note address on banns: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:68MB-CQRH)

They had kids, William and Jessie: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLBY-B6Z
The children were still in the house by 1911: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWFH-J1X

William Charles Petty b. 1882 I think is the one who married in 1912 to Alice E. Woodberry.
Four possible births on freebdm -
Lily B b. 1913 died 1913
William E. C. b. 1915 (married, can't see any possible kids)
Arthur H b. 1917 (married, two possible kids )
Joy A b. 1922 (married, two possible kids)

Jessie Isabell Petty b. 1884 married in 1913 William T Goodwin (Jun 1913 q. West Ham 4a/52)
She appears to have then married in 1927 to William G Watts and Isabella Petty is with them in 1939 (free index).  Don't see kids.

So it looks like the descendants possibility come from Campbell/Buck family Sandra found, plus the Petty line via either Joy or Arthur.
