One potential clue as to when Mary Ann might have moved.

The John Humphries she may have been living with in 1851, dies in May 1855.

I know this because his address was given as Park Street on the 1851 census, and there is a newspaper announcement in the Yorkshire Gazette on Saturday 12 May 1855, saying that John Humphries Esq died aged 77 at his residence on Park Street.

I suppose there is a chance that the household downsized after his death and Mary was out of a job. That's all highly speculative of course.

Do you think she could have continued her position as a live in cook after having her daughter during in 1851?

Yes, I have one example of that in my family tree. She wasn't a cook, but she was a live in servant. I think they either hid it from their employers or their employers turned a blind eye.

This is the couple I previously found and eliminated mainly because of the 16 year difference in her age. This woman is b~1826 where as the Mary Ann I am searching for is b~1810. I know the 1841 census had gross inaccuracies when recording ages, however I dont think the same is true for marriage records. Can anybody confirm? If so, I may have incorrectly eliminated this couple

Age 21 on a marriage record didn't always mean the person was actually aged between 21 and 22. It might have meant they were 21 or over and therefore able to marry without parental consent. If Mary Ann was past 30 when she married she may not have wanted to admit it. What was Solomon's apparent age when he married?
If ages on a marriage record were, for example, 19, 20, 22, 23, they were more likely to be accurate than if age on a marriage record was 21. Mature grooms and brides (over 30) might have subtracted a few years.
Some people fibbed about age when they married, particularly mature women marrying men younger than them. Also, some people weren't sure of their exact age.
