Sadie I think - presumably the woman’s name.

Looks like an overdrawn photo - others will know the correct term. They’re regularly seen here on rootschat. Probably these are notes to whoever is doing the over drawing.

I think you’ve got most of it right, but perhaps:
Bar (something) pin
Black Dress on Sadie

Unsure of the rest. Spelling is not the best.  :)

Since I have no other personal details on this one, I will call it Sadie  :)

Here in America we call the overdrawn enlargements Crayon Portraits

Thanks for helping!

I think it's Ladie (lady).

Bar bean pin - possibly a Victorian/Edwardian bar brooch with a single stone?
GRAY - Inveresk; Lanarkshire
LINDSAY - Lanarkshire
PURDIE - Lanarkshire; W. Lothian
POZZI - Elgin; Lancashire
MACKENZIE, MORISON - Stornoway
ARCHIBALD, HAY, HUNTER, SNADDON - Clackmannanshire
COXON, HALL, JACKSON, SHOTTON - Northumberland

Oh, something new learned today, thanks!

I see a very slight shadow where that might have been.
As with other old crayon portraits I have, the colors used for that detail probably faded much faster than the darker colors.
Still looks pretty good for it's age.
