Maiden name of third greatgrandmother
« on: Saturday 13 August 22 16:38 BST (UK) »
My third great grandfather John Jones(born about 1818 ) in Much Marcle, married Alice(born about 1819) Much Marcle or Sollers Hope.
They were married on the 1841 Census, they moved to West Bromwich and had a family.John died in 1872 and Alice in 1909.
I can’t find a marriage which would determine Alice’s maiden name
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks

If they had any children after 1837 and the birth was registered, you could get her name via the GRO site:

I notice that Richard was a widower on 1871 census.

He married Jane Stone 27.2.1870, she sadly died dq 1870 aged 19 in West Bromwich.
