1668 Irish document
« on: Sunday 14 August 22 03:16 BST (UK) »
I have attached part of a 1668 document which I think is a land transfer.  I am mostly interested in the names.  I think there are male Craig men mentioned but I can't tell if the scribe has used two different ways of writing Craig.  Can anyone tell me what the word at the second bottom line says - Dorwoo - is it Derwee??
Many thanks

The word is “Decree”.
The ‘c’ looks like a modern letter ‘r’.
Look at the word ‘menco(i)ned’ on the second line.
‘coin’ and ‘tion’ were both used at this time.
The line above the ‘c’, (called a tilde), indicates a missing letter.
The letter also appears on the fourth line in ‘commonly caled  ’.
