McKenzie Glasgow
« on: Monday 15 August 22 17:51 BST (UK) »
McKenzie Glasgow was born 4 June 1866 in Killycurragh,Cookstown. On 30 January 1887 he married Elizabeth Mitchell in St Annes Church,Belfast. Together they had 6 children, unfortunatly 3 died quite young. In the 1901 census Elizabeth (Lizzie) is found at 16 Crimea St,Shankill with her 3 surviving children. She is listed as married, but can find no sign of McKenzie Glasgow in Irish Census. In 1911 census Elizabeth is found in 9 Cambrai St,Shankill with her 3 children, but this time is widowed. His name is sometimes spelt MacKenzie.
On 1st Sept 1914 Elizabeth and family left Liverpool for Boston.I am hoping someone can throw some light on the missing McKenzie.
Thanks for reading my query

What was the occ. of McKenzie on the MC, BCs & DCs of the children?

Where did the family leave Boston (County Clare)? for as often others researching can be helped with background info?

Add...Did he use the full name McKenzie on all docs or a shortened version which may help to trace him?

There appears to be a problem with names i.e. have you found the deaths of those children who died young & who registered their deaths.

Have you confirmed all 3 names are the same person i.e. Elizabeth Mitchell who McKenzie married in 1887?

Do you have the DC for Elizabeth Mitchell/Glasgow & is her parents' names given, does the info. match that of their marriage?

Do you have info. on the children found on the census' & does their info. on their father match what you know of McKenzie?

You need a timeline to work out where the discrepancies occur & why as they're quite different.
