Tolhurst from Cranbrook Kent

Hello, looking back at my tree I’ve realised I’ve got the wrong person, I’ve had to delete them and am struggling. My 6x gg John Tolhurst m to Elizabeth Pett, both from Cranbrook Kent, my problem is I cannot work out who his mother is, there are a few John Tolhurst with different mothers, I had Sarah Bassex as his mother but I don’t think this is right, is there anyone who could help with this. He was born roughly 1690- 1698, thanks in advance

Elizabeth Pett wasn’t married to John Pett she was married to John Tolhurst they were living in cranbrook

John Tolhurst was a butcher ref: apprenticeship records on ancestry 1737

One in Ulcombe Kent November 1737

One in Hedcomb Kent June 1737

see if you can find when he was an apprentice?

There is a Henry Tolhurst who is a butcher 1701 but that's too early

This may be interesting a certificate for Henry Tolhurst and family 1752.
He would have to explain why he was eligible to live in the County

When John died 1751 did he leave a will?

There is a Samuel and Elizabeth Tolhurst baptizing children during the same timer period as John and Elizabeth also at  Cranbrook.

Is he a brother to John?
