« on: Saturday 20 August 22 22:16 BST (UK) »
Where can I find a list of names or information on German  soldiers from the area of Krefeld, that went to Belgium n early 1800's.
More specifically around 1813.

Have you read the wikipedia page about the 1813 stumbling blocks in Krefeld?  I haven't read the article but I see there is a list of names at the bottom of the webpage.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_der_Stolpersteine_in_Krefeld

Unfortunately there isn't an English translation.
There is a simple Google translation webpage with sufficient space to paste sentences in:

Hi Rena,

I'm confused!  ??? (Easily done sometimes... ;D)

I thought the Stolpersteine were always in connection with the atrocities from WWII.
I can't find any reference to 1813 in the article you linked.
Am I going completely round the bend?!

Thanks,
Karen

I can not see a reference to 1813 in the article.
Do I have to search the website link?

I reckon these soldiers fought in Napoleon's war?
I know you can search for French soldiers that took part in this war, but Germans?
The link to this website, with the page to start your search. If you know the army division, maybe you'll be lucky.

Soldiers from Germany went to Belgium and fought with English soldiers in the battle of Waterloo in 1815.

There is this book, which may have some information?

https://books.google.co.uk/books/about/Mit_der_grossen_Armee_1812_von_Krefeld_n.html?id=HjeWHAAACAAJ&redir_esc=y

There is a memorial

Perhaps a local history of Krafeld or old newspapers may have some information.

Worth remembering that Krefeld is also spelled Crefeld in many older documents.
