Asylum case notes
« on: Tuesday 23 August 22 20:35 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

Could anyone help me decipher what the case notes reveal here about this patient. I can read some, but not all. Apologies for many posts but there is a lot of (poorly written!) information about my ancestor available.

So far, I have:

[no date]       He is confused + [?] he is [?]
                        [?]
1934 June 30   B of C. (not sure what this means?) He is dull + confused, his memory is severely impaired + he is unable to give any reliable account of himself. [?] He is free from bruises or other marks of injury
    3-7-34         Dull and confused MM?
    15-7-34       Dull, confused + [?]
    22-7-34        [?]
                        [?]     3 nights

This is a sad story and the details aren't pleasant, but if anyone could provide any assistance I would be very grateful. Thank you.

The top line I read as:- He is confused and simple minded.  He is unable to give coherent replies to questions.

I'll see what else I can decifer.

My best guess at the other bits:-

15.7.34 Dull, confused & facile

22.7.34 ? is very confused and I ? think he has been from 3 nights.

Thank you Girl Guide for your help! I think you are probably right about the first two lines, and I think on the right tracks with the last lines. Thanks for your help!!
