Born in Transit

“April 23 Sarah the Daughter of Thomas and Sarah Davis a woman that was delivered in the Parish of Grimley in her way to Radnorshire”

In the hope of finding information on his father I was hunting for siblings of Samuel Davis baptised Ombersley 1738. I came across this entry, for 1727 in the Baptism records for Holt.  Holt being adjacent to Ombersley, I am rather hoping this entry is one of them.  Has anyone else come across other additional information in the church records?

Davis - Worcestershire
Dobson - Bucks/Essex
Longfield - Yorkshire/Newcastle
Franklin - Lincs/Yorks border
Exelby - Yorkshire
Chapman - Cambridgeshire
Aitken - Fife/Lincolnshire

I came across a great one in a burial register.

An unknown person passing through had died and was buried.

The clergyman made a drawing of the tattoo he saw on the deceased's arm.
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.
