Dowding family

Both my grandmother s was called dowding,one been lilly mather dowding the other nora dowding.
Lily was born around 1909 Nettlesworth Durham,her parents was Thomas dowding/Ann mather.
Nora was born around 1910 wheatleyhill Durham,her father was david dowding.I have looked into any connection between the two and I think lillys grandfather was a brother to noras great grandfather ,can any share any facts on this.

Looking at 1911 census it looks as if Thomas Dowding was born about 1886 in Nettlesworth. there is a Thomas born abt 1887 in Nettlesworth in 1891 census. Parents Thomas and Isabella. he has a brother James.

I think Nora's mother was Catherine Luke, she married David Dowding in 1894, so probably several children before Nora

David Dowding was born in Kelloe abt 1872 according to 1901 census. He and Catherine are living with his widowed father also called David, b abt 1836 at Penley in Wiltshire.
Going back to 1881, it looks like David jnr's mother is Elizabeth b Northumberland. David snr's birthplace confirmed as Wiltshire

Kelloe however is in the Easington registration district, so maybe not the above David?

I think Mrwinn is going to need to make notes in order to ascertain who fits in where, after locating likely census records and birth registrations.

According to Durham Records Online there are three baptisms for a David Dowding
