Hi Folks, firstly, thank you for pointing me in the right directions.
I would appreciate some source assistance. Debra and Neale have shown that :
John WINN marriage to Jane PALLISTER, 8 Nov 1834 Chester-le Street.
(Jane PALLISTER baptism 31 Jul 1814 Holy Trinity, Washington, Durham
Parents Mary and Thomas (occ: husbandman) abode Havannah ).
Can someone please help with a source for Janes Birth or baptism, it would be great to just tick that off.
Secondly, I think I agree with Dundee and Neale, that Henry Wind/Wynd/Wynne married to Isabella Hutchinson is the correct link to my tree. I find these records on Myheritage and Familysearch, but without sources. Is there any possibility of a source for either or both of these? I understand Im asking a lot. I think I agree that "my" John Wynne was born 1812 Gateshead. as Neale pointed out, a John WYNNE had a father Henry Wynne, a pitman from Lamesley, and mother Isabella Hutchinson.
Parents Henry WYND / WYNNE and Isabella HUTCHINSON
Children baptised Gateshead.
• Mary 1796
• George 1801 (born 1797)
• Edward 1801 (born 1801)
• Henry 1805 (born 1802)
• Isabella 1805
• Thomas 1807
• William 1810
• John 1812
Isabella HUTCHINSON was baptised 17 Feb 1771 - the daughter of Edward HUTCHINSON from Gateshead. Isabella was buried 2 Jan 1833 Gateshead
But thirdly, as I am still a bit green, at what point can one assume that census records are a "proof" using actual birth/baptism records. I understand that these records (B/B) can give parental names.
I have been mislead so many times by Familysearch where sources are lacking. I even have found that TheGenealogist has incorrect transcriptions of records, also Myheritage has amazingly given a spouse (Hannah Parker) of a later marriage as a child of an earlier Wynne marriage
So until I win lotto to by better subscriptions, I'm sorry but I must ask silly questions.
Best regards
