There are also two Charles

Lucy Hay married as Lucy Calrow, a widow.
Her husband was James Edward Calrow, a cabinet maker, d 1876.

So nothing ringing any bells yet.

thanks heywood - they guy I'm researching used a number of aliases - spent time in prison for various offences. He's very difficult to pin down and difficult to prove that the Camberwell born Harding is the right one.

I just altered my post - Lucy Hay married as Lucy Calrow.

I just posted those as you had enquired re Charles Henry with mother ‘Hay’.

Unfortunately, your man may not have said anything which was true. :(

Following the Hay/Calrow/Bacon family - as Henry Harding does look interesting. Father Mr Harding may have been on the scene for a bit between Lucy's first two marriages

Richard and Lucy have a child Jessie Alice Violetta/e b c1882. She's to be found on electoral registers in the 1930s with a Lucy Hambridge.

Here I think they are in Chelsea, 1891

Charles Hambridge     40
Lucy Hambridge            37
Henry Hambridge    14    - scholar
Jessie Hambridge              8

Richard died in 1886, but I don;t find a marriage for Charles and Lucy
