Ancestry Freezing images

Hi,

Using ipad, search ancestry, select image to view and some FREEZE.

I have cleared history cache etc..

Example which freezes is

Can anyone help, but please note not good with computer.

On iPad, I find  this is generally because you have too many things open.  You have to do the swipe up and close thing.

How to close an app
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

Not sure if that is the problem  .  I only have 6 open on a very old iPad. I can get to an image of the original but cannot enlarge to read the text or navigate to previous or next image.

Just tried a search on England baptisms, works fine, I can enlarge the image and navigate… . So maybe there is a glitch somewhere.

I found that if, for example, when searching for a census image, if I open the image from the record, I can’t move it or enlarge it. I think it freezes sometimes.
 However, if I open the image first, rather than the record, it is fine.
I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for help.
Only had 2 open, but cleared and started again still same problem.

Suey, if you are having same problem, do not think it can be me (thank goodness)must be Ancestry.

Perhaps others will have a go and see if anyone else is having same problem.

Strange how some images work and others do not.

I’ve been having the same problem and also found the only way to enlarge/move the image is to open the image first. It must be another Ancestry gremlin.
