Rather than reduce the size if it interferes with reading it, post in sections or transcribe it?

Also, you shouldn't be posting images of whole certificates?
They are Crown Copyright!

The best thing to do is to do a snip, using  a snipping tool provided by Mirosoft/Mac/etc and save that.  Check that the file is less than 500 kb and then attach to your message in the usual way.

As, KG says, you should not put up a whole certificate because of  copyright reasons.

Or to make it Fit for Any Forum :-
Google = search for - postimages.com
- click Upload
- click Do not resize
- select from drop down  menu - 640 X 480 for Message Boards
- click - Choose Image
- click - File
- Find -select your Photo
- click - Hotlink for Forums
- click - Copy
- Then in your Post Message in Rootchat Topic
- Paste the Copied Postimage

As Gadget says, so much easier to snip the relevant section of the image, and use Irfanview (if necessary) to reduce the image below 500 Kb - allows all the RootsChatters to see the attached image, increase the size and supply comments.

I’m just marking this page as it’s something I have had problems with too.
Thanks for the great advice.
