The reason I asked about the censuses was in the hope that place of birth might be given.

 If your direct ancestors have siblings, it might also be useful to locate them in censuses as well, in case there is any different or useful information recorded about them, (assuming they were born in the same place, which they may not have been).

They have come up in church and National censuses. A few generations back it seems they were catholic and otherwise had lots of children. I also know my gt grandmother went to ‘Gipsy Road School’ which is now Norwood School, and also attended ‘Sumner road’ school.

But the records are scarce. I’ll check for any old newspapers though thank you.
