Looking for details of Hannah's whereabouts on the 1939 register and / or her death.
She was born in 1886 in Haswell, Durham.
In 1901 she was living with her widowed father and 4 of her siblings at Wood Street, Hebburn, South Shields.
She married John Reed in 1906 and had 2 daughters, Mary Hannah (1907) and Lilian (1908).
Family believe she had an affair with a married man which seems to have ended their relationship. The affair led to the birth of a son, Benjamin Jones in Q3/1910.
In 1911 Hannah and her 3 children were living with her father at 3 Quarry Street, Sunderland. John Reed (married) was living with his parents and siblings in Trimdon Street, Sunderland.
In 1921 John was still living with his parents (in the same house) but his 2 daughters with Hannah are now living with him. This seems to back up the thoughts of the family who believe Hannah deserted her daughters.
Unable to find Hannah Jones on the 1921 census but did find Benjamin Jones (1910 Silksworth, Sunderland) living with a Joseph Keyland (widower, wife died in 1920) and his children in Spennymoor. Also on the census was a housekeeper called Hannah Neil (1885 Haswell). Interestingly Benjamin was listed as Joseph's son.
I have tried numerous searches after 1921 for Hannah (using Jones, Keyland, Reed and Neil) with no success. In addition I have searched for Benjamin (using Jones, Reed and Keyland) and Joseph Keyland again with no success.
As always any help with whereabouts in 1939 or death details would be appreciated. Jim
