Family of Charles Frederick Ernst

I am seeking the family of Charles Frederick Ernst. He was born in New Jersey on May 17, 1874 to Frederick and Clementina Ernst. He married a young lady from Dresden, Saxony, Germany called Anne Adelheid Werner (born February 24, 1877) on March 14, 1896, in Paterson, New Jersey. Charles and Anne had 5 Children. Charles Died on January 17, 1947 and Anne died on October 19, 1943.
I'd appreciate if someone could find parents and locations.

You could try searching Family Search to see what there is.

Hi,

You might be good at using Familysearch but I find the layout of Familysearch is really confusing, eventually I have found that a good way to search is to use the "Find a Collection" box here,

https://www.familysearch.org/search/

It seems to narrow search results down compared to using the main search boxes.

Yes that is good Daisypetal.
Also, when you search by name lots of options show including many which have no real relevance to the search, I think.
You can however, go to ‘collection’ and narrow the search details.
FS is not the easiest of sites to search but is useful.

I agree, I miss the old Familysearch it was so much easier to use.

When his brother Otto applied for Social security he gave his mother as Minnie Deerford

It has been corrected to Clementine Doerfeld.

This gives you his mothers maiden name, the census they are from Saxony

The Document lists the date as 1874, but I looked carefully and concluded it as 1872.
The birthdates are not accurate (estimates).
