Patrick Breen R.A.M.C 1908 (Dublin native)
« on: Wednesday 26 October 22 13:44 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have come across a record in a marriage cert from 1908 in Dublin of Patrick Breen to Bridget Carey which took place in St Laurence O'Tooles church on 1st March 1908, occupation for Patrick, 'Private in the R.A.M.C.', Patrick is aged 19 on the record and living at 41lwr Mayor St which is in the docklands area of Dublin.

Patrick's father is listed as James Breen, who had married twice, his 2nd Wife Annie nee Fitzgerald had died in 1905, James had married her in 1894.

Im looking for possible service record for Patrick regs his enlistment/service, d.o.b and place of birth etc and am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

As always I am gratefully indebted for any help from member's.
Thanking you.

There's a 1907 militia record for him (discharged later that year on enlistment into the regular RAMC) but I can't see a regular army record.

Born St Thomas parish, Dublin, said he was aged 18 years 11 months in mid-July 1907. A timekeeper.
