At first, I was puzzled about the intent to commit matrimony regarding J.W. Harwood and Mrs. Laura Strawell. I finally concluded it was joking, regarding a serious intention to marry, which they did 2 days later in 1891.
I have searched endlessly for the whereabouts and/or deaths of John, Hiram, and Evelyn who all disappeared about 1893. I have followed my leads and all came to nothing. There were several John Harwood deaths quoted in different trees but none of them were the correct one. I suppose they could have changed their names. Also never found Alta Cook after 1900, or Albert w. Harwood's daughter Mable/Mabel after 1910, when she was living with her uncle Finlay Dodge. Mabel's mother was Martha Ann nee Leacock who died Feb 15, 1905 in North Dakota when Mabel was abt. 2 years old. Can anyone find an obit for Martha Ann Harwood? Thank you.
