FindMyPast doesn’t seem to have a transcription of the occupation of Sampson Chamberlain. The image is poor. I have an idea what it may be, but I may be imagining it. Any suggestions?

Not much clearer on Ancestry, but maybe Gas man?

In 1851, he is described as 'labourer in gas works' so that would fit.
