Mayes/Campion/Smithers Confused

Evening guys

I received some information from my family and i was hoping you guys could help me clarify it as i have been looking and having no joy.

Henry Mayes b 1830 married Sarah Campion b 1930 and have six children.

But there is information that Henry Mayes married Elizabeth Smithers and had one child but i can't find the marriage. But the child i have seen on the 1871 Census age 1 year and she is with Henry and Sarah and the other children.

As Carole has advised use FreeBMD, GRO

GRO for mother's maiden name if within marriage. Free to use but you have to register

Hi all

Thanks for information.

I would like to clarify that i was using FreeBMD etc but nothing was coming up, I have the last daughter as Helena but more like Elenor so wouldn't of found her, but the marriages should of been.

I can only do with what comes up posting on here is last option for me I always try other sites first like freeBMD etc.
