Hi there and welcome to Rootschat!

For Scottish records, https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ is the official government site for looking at e.g. marriage certificates.

We need a little more info to assist you. Do you know approximately when Margaret and John would have been married? 1900, 1850, 1800? If you're not sure you can estimate it based on when their children were born.

There is a marriage in Dalserf 17 June 1864 for John STEWART and Margaret LOHOAR

The 1871 census in North Hallhill, Lesmahagow shows John Stewart as a dairy man, born abt 1831  in Lesmahagow; and wife Margaret born 1834 in Dalserf.
Children – Robert age 5, Janet Angus aged 4, James aged 2, Margaret Pate  aged 7 months.

By 1881 census the family is at Newbigging, Lanarkshire. There is another child, William born 1873.

(Other children born to these same parents: John Stewart 1871; John Stewart & Andrew Lohoar Stewart in 1874. David in 1876. All died in infancy.)

1891 census John (Dairyman) and Margaret Stewart are at Low Bent Farm in Hamilton Lanarkshire
1901 census John and Margaret are still in Hamilton.

Margaret Lahoar Stewart died 1911 Hamilton
Probable death for John Stewart in 1903 Hamilton – (mother’s name PATE)

Some background here to the Tuphall Farm and land, including:

...There was a lot of interest in the lands of Tuphall and especially the newly formed street of Tuphall Road. In November 1898, Mr John Stewart, a dairyman of Low Bent had plans submitted to the Dean of Guild Court to build a double cottage and dairy....

Looks good for John Stewart's death, Neale  ;)

There are entries for John Stewart in the Wills & Testament section on
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk which include:

John Stewart - Dairyman, Tuphall, Hamilton, d. 21/03/1903 at Hamilton, testate.

Agreed. I think his death certificate will be needed to find his parent's names.
I could not see any obvious baptism for John Stewart, nor marriage for possible parents.
In the 1841, 51 and 61 census, John seems to on his own - so no family members around to follow up on either.
