occupation?
« on: Saturday 17 December 22 13:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I cannot read the occupation (BOTTOM line - top two just shown to aid handwriting deciphering). This is from 1841 and the man was wealthy and a bit of an inventor in the photography field.

Thank you!

Independent
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you both. I had wondered if it was independent but was struggling with the first letter. I see now that it is an elaborate I. Thank you.
