Robert Mitchell - North Shields/Amsterdam

Good Morning,

Really needing some help on this one.

Robert Mitchell born 14th August 1940 to Robert Mitchell snr and Mary Nichol
He was Born at 100 Hawkeys lane.
But parents lived at 34 Rosetree Crescent North Shields.
Robert Mitchell snr was a tugboat man.

Robert Mitchell (b.1940) died in 2000 in Amsterdam, Netherland.
How do I find his death record or information on his death?
I have come up blank…

Where did you get the info from that he died in the Netherlands in 2000 - is it reliable?   Was he domiciled in the Netherlands or just visiting?

Did he marry & have children?  If he did - it's likely his children are still alive so can you contact them?

I would suggest checking for newspaper reports of his death. 

English newspapers that is if his birth family was based here.

The info was obtained by passed family members still in the uk.
He had moved to Netherlands.
We do not know if he had additional children or wives there. It is rumoured he had 8 wives in total! But as yet I’ve only found the one valid marriage in tynemouth. So don’t know if the 8 are just tittle tattle.
He has a few children from different spouses. Unfortunately he had no input in his uk children’s up brining.

As yet I can’t find death records for him.

I’ve searched newspapers it can’t see anything unless I’ve missed it. Will take another look!
