Another death that could be possible

HORTON, THOMAS       30
GRO Reference: 1841  J Quarter in WESTMINSTER  Volume 01  Page 326

You don't indicate which death certificates you obtained so I may have given you ones that you already have.

Nov 1849 Agnes (noted as born in December 1840) dau of Thomas & Matilda Horton is baptised at St Saviour, Southwark.
Thomas is recorded as a Labourer. There is no mention of him being deceased.
Address is Adams place.

Is Agnes the one age 10 recorded as an Orphan in 1851, with John Blackwell & family?

Yes that's her, because her Mother dies in 1849 of Cholera and Agnes is baptised shortly after in 1849.  Would they have put deceased, for the Father, on the baptism record? It's also strange that they've put Labourer on the baptism, for Thomas, as on every other record I have he is known as Gun maker, Gun stocker or Carpenter (carpenter because he makes the wooden part of the gun) I'm trying to see if there is a link with the Blackwell's and Agnes too.   Agnes later marries and has many children but at the age of 36 she enters the asylum for the second time and lives there for the rest of her life.  She appears to be suffering from Psychosis and talks about her husband keeping prostitutes under the floor and her father in a black cape - I'm interested to find out about her Father to see whether anything happened to affect Agnes' mental health.  Thanks for your response.

Mary Ann Matilda’s baptism he is an “Edge Tool Maker”

So perhaps he is just able to turn his hand at making things, depending on what work is available.
(Not that that is any help, sorry).

If Matilda Frances is also dead by the time of that baptism, then it doesn’t matter that Thomas is not recorded as deceased, because she isn’t either.

Wonder if this is worth pursuing, had a look at Margaret Hawker who is at the same address as the death certificate 1841 with a John Hawker, (carpenter) and the only marriage I spotted was in 1824 at St. Mary, Lambeth between a

John Hawker bachelor and Margaret Haughton spinster

Yes I think you've worked it out -thanks so much!  I've also realised that Agnes Horton was living with her Aunt - her Mother's sister in the 1851 census.
