Hi I am a distant relative living in Canada and I am trying to find out information on my great uncle Arthur Leslie Somerfield. Also looking to make contact with Robdaphunk if anyone has any contact with him can you please help me make contact with him. He was on this forum about 12 years about asking questions about my great uncle but I have no idea how to make contact with him does anyone know him or know how to contact him? I believe he a distant cousin of mine. Looking to complete our family tree. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas to all.

Hi, I do not know if this is your Arthur as you dont give a date. But there are very few Arthur Leslies.

There is also a 1911 census showing him living with Ernest Aslley   Vincent   Head
Married   Male   34   1877   Carter from colliery   West Bromwich Staffs

HI yes I am new to this forum so please forgive me until I get the hang of it. Okay he is from Staffordshire in 1902 and the son of Elizabeth Somerfield who was my great grandmother. There is also another village name Walsall of Strafforshire and I believe this is where the family lived. I know my great uncle was raised by my great grandmother's sister and husband who had no children. I am also looking to make make contact with Robdaphunk who posted here about 10 or 12 years ago.  Thanks.

There are quite a few somerfields in Bloxwich, Walsall. There are also various spellngs of it so need to be wary. Bloxwich all saints has a few somerfields buried there.

By 1939 Arthur is widowed and has 2 children with him. One redacted.


Interestingly that child has no Mothers mn on reg;

Aaah looked at a Tree and they have 1st Wife as Harriet Bevan who died 1926

+ 1921 Marriage for Arthur to Harriet.
