Someone has posted that our member -Merchant Seamen Expert "Seaweed is no longer with us " - is it true ?  this mans knowledge was amazing regarding Merchant Seamen - has he passed away or just left the site ?? :)

How very very sad - he often messaged me about info from Garston Docks and Boats that went in and out of there - that has upset me - a nice genuine man ..RIP mate - a sad loss to Rootschat xxxxxx :'(

That is such tragic news. I missed the thread back in August so had no idea.

Seaweed was one of the best, and so helpful. I referred several people to him over the years as his knowledge was second to none.

Rootschat is all the poorer without him.  :(
