Wedding cert feint writing
« on: Monday 09 January 23 17:20 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone. I'd be grateful if anyone could help with deciphering any of this wedding cert. I know its between William Ward and Elizabeth Campion, 6th Dec 1886. he a bachelor, Labourer she a widow Charwomen. I can't read the address, Walker st. maybe? I thought her father was Robert William Doubleday but that doesn't look like "William" to me. Think it say deceased for his father? can't read the occupations of the two fathers.
TIA

Henry Ward (deceased) was a horse dealer, and I think it is Robert Henry (?) Doubleday and his occupation is green grocer. I think the address might be Green Dale Square, Walker Street?

Ancestry have a very clear image of the marriage entry - address for both parties is Greendale Square, Walker Street.

Robert Henry Doubleday, Greengrocer = Elizabeth's father
Henry Ward (deceased), Horse dealer = William's father

William is aged 40 and Elizabeth is 39.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
