Struggling with this will
« on: Thursday 12 January 23 07:33 GMT (UK) »
I cant find the names of the people below, Im getting the Caroline and Adolphus Lewis names but but the last name eludes me. Ive tried searching A for the names with wildcards the military site for the Lt Colonel but nothing comes up. Thought the names would have stood out but no. They are related to the Will person but dont appear in the tree yet. I think the first initial is L but no combination I tried worked for me maybe new eyes need to look at it. Thanks Alex

If the first letter of his surname is a wacky "H", then there is this:

There is an Adolphus Lewis Hinuber in several gazettes (Irish and British gazettes) for military promotions.

Also a marriage on 27 May 1802 to a Caroline Turner in Bishopbourne.
The marriage has been transcribed as both Hinuber, and Hinnber, depending on where you look.
At the time of marriage, according to the newspaper notice, he was a Major, late Deputy Adjutant- General to the forces in Mimorca.  Caroline was the daughter of Charles Turner Esq. of Charlton, Kent.

So the above should make the nephew, Adolphus Henry Hinuber, who shows as being born in 1803 to parents Adolphus and Caroline Hinuber in Marylebone.
