I can't find Esther Ann Eaves on GRO - am I missing something?

I might have heard and recorded Eves
Have you searched GRO under Eves ?
And maybe Hester
Or just Ann

Yes, I'm pretty sure I tried every variation (including just first names where possible, but a surname is required on GRO) and even not restricting the county of birth.

I'll probably have yet another go at all those searches, though... just to reassure myself that I didn't miss anything!

Thanks for that information. I did know it - it's just the missing birth registration in Sudbury that has puzzled me.

I've seen the surname spelled in different ways, as was her husband's (Gardiner, with many variations!).

After Esther died her husband remarried and emigrated to Canada and appears to have died tragically. Very sad.

Henry and Esther's daughter Emily also died at a young age (33). It very much looks like Emily died in childbirth or shortly afterwards. A kind Rootschat member found a burial record in the Local Studies department. I'm about to order a death certificate.
