Hi Folks, I am back on the William Wind of Cow Close Trail. Here is what I know of him :
William Wind, Born about 1730 - ESTIMATED ONLY in Lamesley, Durham, England, United Kingdom. [father?], [mother?], [spouse?] He is the father of children Margaret Wind, Thomas Wind, William Wind, John Wind and Henry (Wind) Wynd. Died about 19 Jan 1770 at about age 40 in Lamesley, Durham, England. There are five children attributed to William Wind of Lamesly. Not to be confused with William Wind of Lumley born 1731

On Genuki, a search for Cow Close places it over near Easington where there was a coalmine. However as discussed on Rootschat, CowClose, Lamesley is quite close to what was Ravensworth Hall, near the Nature Reserve. There was a mill and some cottages it appears.
William just seems to drop in out of nowhere. There are other William Winds, but I do not seem to make a connection to his birth or marriage and wife of 5 kids. I cannot access Ancestry and I wonder if there is anyone kind enough to cross-check if there is a record or tree (heaven forbid), that may give a hint of him.
Most trees place him as associated with a wife of Mary (Hind) Wind with parents William Wind, Mary Wind (born Coxon).... these are INCORRECT. That William is of Greater Lumley as discussed here on Rootschat and NOT William of Lamesley. Im looking for any hint of this William of (Lamesley) possibly born elsewhere but he is a mystery just now.
Thanks for any hints or ideas.
