William Marshall

Hi, I was hoping for some help locating possible information on William Marshall who was born in Campbelltown Tasmania 23 March 1879, family stories tell that he moved to New Zealand. Unfortunately I haven’t much to go on, his parents were Sidney and Helen Marshall from Cleveland, Tasmania. Probably hoping for a miracle with this one, any help appreciated.

Have you searched paperspast?

There's a huge amount of information on there.
It would help if you had an idea at all about where he lived in New Zealand, or when he might have gone to NZ, or if he ever married and had children.

But nothing in those 2 posts Lucy2 has posted have come up with any information about William in New Zealand.
They are mostly about his parents in Tasmania.

There would have been an aunt and uncle living in Mabel Bush, Southland, they were William and Susan Ogilvie ( née Marshall )

The request you have made here (this thread) relates to the William MARSHALL born Tasmania 23 March 1879.

It is very similar to the request you made in 2013 > for a William MARSHALL born 27 January 1882 (same parents).   This 1882 birth (as already pointed out in previous thread), does not have the christian name of this male child registered.   

*   So how do you know his given name is William  ???   
[Noting also that the father Sydney, registered his birth one month later on 28 February 1882. ]

Question :    Are you now seeking information for this earlier William MARSHALL -  born 1879 ??

Question :  How is it that you think that this MARSHALL family had two sons named "WILLIAM" born 1879 and then another in 1882, both of whom you suggest have come to live in New Zealand ??

Can you offer some further information or explanation please ?
