Fun and informative! Thanks again everyone.

I'll have my work cut out for me trying to connect Rose McCann 1831 with Mary Jane McCannn 1833 and John/Mary Troudel.

One last question.

I found the birth of Sarah ,daughter of John Robinson and Rose Ann McCann in 1854. The sponsor is Mary Ann McCann... Are sponsors often siblings of one of the parents?

Thanks

But not always.

Mary Ann could be a sister, sister in law, cousin, aunt....

First check  that Mary Ann is a sister or whether her brother married a Mary Ann.

Thanks.

The family lived around Coose for many years and I noticed a marriage there for a Mary Ann McCann. There are others about though. Trying to see if I can luck into a clue.

I suppose I'm trying to find siblings and/or parents for Rose Ann McCann.

Here's the death of Rose at Coose:

Ouch my eyeballs!  :o

I found it! Thanks for the encouragement Gadget. I got a 2-for-1 deal there as I have Conlon family in Tullylish... It's fascinating to get a window back in time to pick up these family ties.

I'm not sure if these are relevant but I found them earlier. I had  BT here today playing with my WiFi speeds  in some low speed rooms so I was off and on.

Here are baptisms for

Mary on 4 June 1838 at Tullylish. Parents are Owen McCann and Margaret White.

Mary on 24 Auguat 1941 at Tullylish. The parents are Daniel McCann and Sophia ?
