Apologies for not being clearer about the grave of Hannah, it is in Macpela cemetery,
Penygroes, Caernarfonshire.  he was the only member of the family that left Wales so I doubt that the informant was a member of the family
Neale1961  i have noted the shipping information you gave as possible,  but the Trove report has Hugh John Griffith as formerly of South Africa.
if that report is correct he would have traveled to Australia, then to South Africa and then back to Australia where he died.

wivenhoe
i was told that he went to South Africa by my uncle,Hugh's nephew, many years ago when my research was done at the National Library and the archives before the internet. All the other information he gave me has turned out to be correct.

Obviously the miner, Hugh Griffiths, with an age two years out, will not be your Hugh. :)
