Carden family Derbyshire
« on: Friday 03 February 23 19:00 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my family tree, they originally came from the Derbyshire areas of  Malpas and Belper. They were farmers and eventually some of the men moved to Manchester to seek work.
Are their any family members on this forum.
Many thanks

Hi Rosalynd,

Welcome to RootsChat!

It would probably be a good idea to provide some full names and years of birth and death (limiting it to those who are deceased, as per the rules of RootsChat), as this will give you a better chance of distant relations finding your post when they are researching the same family and enter the various names into Google. I have also had success with a second cousin finding my post about our shared relative, because they typed his name into Google and my post appeared at the top!

Queenie  :)

Would that be “Malpas” in Cheshire?
