There was a John Reid born 1847 Urquhart, Moray, Scotland (brother of Alexina) died 31 October 1912 Saskatchewan.

Found him (no wife) on a 1909 passenger list with two daughters. Annie aged 22 years and Margaret aged 18 years) Going to Foamlake Saskatchewan which matches the find a grave entry.

This looks like the marriage of the above John  and lists his wife Jemima Brander Urguhart married 20 December 1878.  Lists his siblings but no mention of a Charles Reid/Reed.

Hi Sandra

When the Reed/Reid side came up I looked back my research on Alexina’s side of the family to see if there was a Charles. No Charles but I found that I had done more research than I had remembered. We had corresponded with a descendant of the brother of Alexina. That was back in 2006 when we first started researching. You have the correct family. Amazing how far we have come since 2006. He lived in Canada.

Thanks for sending this info though. Much appreciated.
Betty

Thanks again Sandra. At the moment I have just been looking at my paper work not what I have on the computer and see from a tree I have written out that a descendant of a sister of Alexina died in Manitoba in 1903. Her name was Eliza Duncan Gordon nee Sandison born 1876. There were children. I need to revive this research and see what new information is available.
In a strange way it was nice to see Elgin mentioned on the obituary.
Thanks
Betty

Came across an ancestry tree - will put a link but you need a subscription to ancestry to view.

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/173260341/person/232254682785/facts

Tree gives - Eliza Jane Reid 1857–1902
BIRTH 19 DEC 1857  -  Urquhart, Elgin, Moray, Scotland
DEATH 19 SEP 1902 -  Barnet Gate, Middlesex

Eliza Jane Sandison says died Lochhill Urgguhart. ?
