Harriet Attree circa 1800-1854
« on: Sunday 26 February 23 07:12 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find a baptism a baptism for her.
She married William Wood 20 Jul 1823 at St Luke, Finsbury, Islington, Middlesex. He was born in the Holborn Area in London.
The 1851 Census indicates they lived at 11 Parrot Court St Luke Middlesex. He was a Shoemaker, and their daughter Emma was living with them as well. The census says she was born in Kent, and so far, I cannot find them on the 1841 Census.
I have found one baptism, records (as below) but none in Kent.
Dated 8 June 1806 Baptism Place St Martin, Epsom, Surrey. Indicate the parents as William and Mary Attree.

Would be grateful if you could assist me in any way.
Thanking you in advance

The marriage entry states she is a minor, so under 21. Unfortunately the section 'with consent of parents' has not been filled in.
The witness was a William Attree and someone else whose name I cannot decipher.

Harriet Attree signed and so did William.

She is 43 in 1851 so a birth circa 1807/8? this would make her only 15 or 16 when she married

Marriage in St Luke. 1851 in St Luke.
I wonder if this could be Harriet in 1841 [ St Luke]. Did she have a child in 1841?

Just so this is not ruled out because of William's occupation:
The entry is clearly as copperplate printer, but the 2 entries following Emma's are for a a different Wood family, where the father also a William, has been given the occupation of shoemaker.  They mixed the occupations up when copying the info down on their ledger, as when you track the "shoemaker" William, he is the copperplate printer, with a distinctly different family.
