Hello - I'm not sure where to start. I'm trying to find out where in Dublin my Grandfather was born and the names of his mother and father. I have no living relatives that can help me with this. My grandfather's last name was Simmington - not 100% sure if that's spelled with one M or 2. Thank you.

There are very good records for Charles John on Family Search which is great.

His draft card for WW1 gives his birth details as 4 March 1888 in Dublin www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZXZ-6QF  Links to other records also available on this link.

On his marriage registration in 1915 in LA, he gave his parents' details as John M. Simington
and Penelope Irvings. Question now is to find the records that confirm these details...
